Companies have now identified and valued intellectual property and intangible assets (IP) worth over £1bn ($1.3bn), using Inngot’s world-first Sollomon® online IP valuation tool.
Many of these companies have gone on to use the value uncovered in negotiations with lenders and investors for funding, to help refine their innovation and IP monetisation strategies, or to negotiate the sale, purchase or licensing of IP.
IP-based finance – the use of IP value as collateral for finance – is now firmly on the agenda globally, and that means that cost-effective and reliable IP valuations have become crucially important.
Inngot is working closely with major international banks who are using Sollomon as an integral part of their funding decision making process. For example, in June 2022, HSBC UK announced a new Growth Lending initiative which requires IP-rich business loan applicants to use Sollomon to value the assets they want to borrow against.
