Recent assignments include:
- The Beacon Project on Intellectual Property and Open Source (for the Creative Industries Knowledge Transfer Network). This six-month project examined the role of intellectual property in the digital context, and how it supports direct and indirect methods of value creation. Information gathering involved a combination of expert interviews, small and large workshop gatherings and a large online survey, analysed by the Inngot team. Download the executive summary.
- Intellectual Property and Eco-Innovation for SMEs (for EcoMind). This intensive project combined interviews, desk research and an online survey to bring out the challenges of IP exploitation for small and medium enterprises seeking to bring innovative sustainable solutions to market. It has led to the creation of new resources to guide innovators new to the IP landscape, developed by Inngot with assistance from the Intellectual Property Office, which can be downloaded here. EcoMind is led by BSK CIC and co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg IVA 2 Seas Cross-Border Programme 2008-2011.
- Discovery of knowledge assets and development of a documentation approach (for the South East England Development Agency). Knowledge management was an important part of the transition strategy for regional development agencies. The assignment included advice on asset valuation techniques.
- A pilot project to investigate the use of intellectual asset valuation as an impact measurement tool (for the Welsh Assembly).
