A new approach to copyright protection
For some, IP protection requires patenting: for others, trade marks or designs may be key. However, one type of IP nearly all businesses own, and the most important for digital works and software, is copyright.
Copyright protection was relatively straightforward when copying was a laborious business requiring skill and specialist equipment. But what does it mean when almost anyone can copy digital works and distribute them globally in an instant?
We think it means that agility is all. Ventures of all sizes have to capitalise on this connectedness, harnessing the speed and reach of the Internet to distribute knowledge about their assets and their capabilities (many of which are realised in copyright works).
